North Georgia
9-12 is undertaking a petition initiative to allow Georgia to opt out
of Government Controlled Healthcare!!
The Georgia Healthcare Freedom Act, originally introduced by Gerry
Purcell, once adopted by the State legislature, will prevent DC from ramming
Socialized Medicine down our throats! We must keep Washington out of Georgia's
Healthcare!!
| The Georgia
Healthcare Freedom Act |
| "WE,
THE CITIZENS OF THE STATE OF GEORGIA, BELIEVE THAT ALL PEOPLE SHOULD
HAVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR HEALTHCARE, AND THUS,
NO LAW SHALL BE PASSED THAT RESTRICTS A PERSON'S FREEDOM TO CHOOSE
A PRIVATE HEALTHCARE OR PRIVATE PLAN OF ANY TYPE. NO LAW SHALL INTERFERE
WITH A PERSON'S OR ENTITY'S RIGHT TO PAY DIRECTLY FOR LAWFUL MEDICAL
SERVICES, NOR SHALL ANY LAW IMPOSE A PENALTY OR FINE, OF ANY TYPE,
FOR CHOOSINGTO OBTAIN OR DECLINE HEALTHCARE COVERAGE OR FOR PARTICIPATION
IN ANY PARTICULAR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM OR PLAN." |
The measure will protect the freedom of Georgians to choose their
own health care plans, and protect Georgia from Federal intrusion on a
state matter. We are calling for the referendum to be on the Georgia ballot
in November, 2010.
North Georgia 9-12 is soliciting signatures of Georgians that are opposed
to the government controlling their healthcare decisions. We will be promoting
this petition at all our events, tabulating the information and working
to get the act made into law.
In order to make this a reality we need your help!. Please download and
print the petition forms, get your friends, relatives and passers by to
fill them out. Then mail in the completed forms or give them to your 9-12
group leaders. The form is available in two versions, Full Page and Pocket
Size (see more information on downloading and printing the forms below)
that can easily be carried in a shirt pocket or used as a bookmark.

Printing suggestions for the Pocket Size forms:
The Pocket sized form is a two sided document. We suggest that you use
card stock paper. Set the print properties to two-sided
mode. Please refer to your printer manual
to be sure you insert the paper correctly after printing the first side
(or
mark the paper on one side then do a test print of the first side to determine
which direction to place the sheet).
Make sure your printer is set to landscape. If your printer allows you
to adjust the size of the document print it as 11" x 8.5". After
printing both sides of the page, cut the forms apart, then go get some
signatures!
