If you've been listening to the mainstream media and most of
the talking heads in Washington, you have been told that the only
plans to solve the healthcare "crisis" are the ones being
put forth by the Administration and Democrats in Congress. They have
not been honest with the American people!
There are a number of plans from Conservatives for fixing what is
wrong with healthcare. While not all plans put forth are alike,
most feel that the problems with healthcare can be solved with free-market
solutions within the existing system.
To solve the issues with healthcare we must first look at the problems
objectively. Is there a crisis? Over 80% (reported in numerous polls)
of the American people are happy with their current healthcare coverage.
How many people are without healthcare? The numbers differ, many
of those being counted are illegal aliens, or choose not to have
healthcare coverage. Most critics agree that the number of Uninsured
Americans is about 15 million (Significantly lower than the 35 to
45 million number the Administration and leaders of Congress were
spouting a year ago. No hospitial in the United States is allowed
to deny healthcare service to anyone who requires it.
There are a number of problems, but we are not at crisis levels.
Unpaid Medicare costs, equipment costs and excessive malpractice
insurance costs (in part due to numerous frivoulous lawsuits) cause
healthcare providers to raise their prices to cover their costs.
Insurance companies charge high prices for coverage to cover administration
of the plans and to offset the risk they take. They deny coverage
to people at high risk and with pre-existing conditions. Drug &
Medical Equipment companies charge high amounts to cover their research
and development and costs. Medicare is riddled with waste, fraud
and abuse.
Though American's pay higher costs than other countries per person
for their healthcare, we also have the best care in the world. We
have people from other countries that come to the US specifically
to seek medical treatment. Americans have a better chance of surviving
a chronic disease than citizens of countries that already have socialized
medicine such as France, Canada & England.
If there is no crisis why is the administration proposing changing
the entire system? Simple, power & control. If they are able
to make your healthcare decisions then they can control you in other
aspects of your life. A year or two ago, this may have seemed like
a crazy conspiracy theory. A year ago, you would not have believed
that the National Debt (which was doubled in Bush's term) would
be quadrupled due to the Obama Administrations policies of bailouts,
wasteful spending and useless pork-filled "stimulus".
Would you have believed that the government would own private companies
like GM? A year ago, you might have even believed that Unemployment
would not go over 8.5 percent. A year ago, would you have believed
that 1.5 Million patriots would get off their couches and march
on the Capitol? So many things have changed in just a little over
a year.
The government is intended to do two things - protect the American
people and create and enforce our laws. they are not supposed to
be running our lives and creating a cradle-to-grave entitlement
society. No where in the US Constitution does it say that there
is a right to healthcare. The government should not be providing
healthcare.
The government can do very few things efficiently. Do you want your
healthcare run like the Post Office? Do you want more regulations
that decide when, where, why and how you see a doctor like the IRS
Tax code? Still not convinced? Look at Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and
Amtrak, Social Security & Medicare for a few more examples.
We believe that the plans put forth in the House, Senate & by
the President will resut in lower quality of care, the availablitly
of care, increased costs, and decisions made by bureacrats. This
will lead to rationing and increased taxes. It will cripple an already
overburdened economy and will change America as we know it.
More government regulation will cause doctors and other healthcare
professionals to leave their profession. This will also cause many
prospective healthcare professionals to choose another career. Availability
to quality healthcare will be reduced. Big businesses will take
the penalty, which will cost less than providing their employees
with the mandated insurance coverage. They will force those who
"can keep their current coverage, if their happy with it"
to get onto the goverment plan. On the government plan employees
will no longer be able to make their own decisions. Unions and Special
Intrests will have special deals that exempt them from portions
of the legislation. Small business still won't be able to compete
and will be forced to reduce staff further, resuting in higher unemployment.
Hard working Americans will be forced to pay increased taxes for
reduced quality of care. The increases on demand of healthcare (mandated
by the government) will force beauracrats to decide who should be
eligible for medical treatment and what treatments will be covered.
Those who already have lived a full life will be seen as less beneficial
to society and not worth the cost required to provide continued
treatment. The government will regulate what you drink & eat
and how you live because it will effect your healthcare. Goodbye
to Liberty, Freedom & Personal responsiblity.
After a few years the system will be unable to take the strain of
it's own weight. Then the government will then step in stating that
the problem is much worse than originally thought. In order to get
a handle on it they must tighten restrictions and increase taxes
more. And the cycle perpetuates itself.
These are a few of the results that we will likely see within a
few years of Government Control of Healthcare. Why else would the
laws be enacted in 2013? So that they may still have a chance at
being re-elected after they ram this nightmare down the throats
of the American people. Conspiriacy theory? Look at the Socialized
Medicine in Canada, England, France & other parts of Europe.
Is this what we want America to be like??
Most Real Solutionsfor healthcare include a number
of similar items. Free-Market Solutions, Tort reform, Ability for
small buisnesses to pool together to increase their buying power,
Ability to purchase insurance coverage across State lines, Reduced
restrictions on Health Savings plans, better tailored insurance
plans to reduce costs to consumers and vouchers for those truly
unable to pay for healthcare or chronically ill. These are just
some of the ideas that are out there. Conservatives believe that
with less restrictions and free-market solutions that we can make
the system we have better and more affordable. There is still time
to stop the runaway healthcare train that's ramming it's way through
Congress. The fate of
the Republic is in our hands!
Below are a number of resources regarding the healthcare issue.
We urge all Americans to seek out the facts and look objectively
at the issue so they can decide for themselves. Do you want the
government to control your healthcare decisions? Or should that
be between you and your doctor??

HOUSE
RAMS GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED HEALTHCARE DOWN THE THROATS OF THE AMERICAN
PEOPLE!!
The
house voted late Saturday night to disregard the wishes of the American
people and ignore the screams of tens of thousands of protesters
that showed up at the Capitol. H.R.3962 passed with 220 votes
For & 215 Against. Only 1 Republican Joseph
Cao (LA), voted for the legislation. 39 Dems voted with the
Repubs to stand with the American people against socialized medicine.
This is our last best chance to stop socialized medicine from
taking over our healthcare system.
The last of the buses and cars have left for DC, and the remainder
will be flying out in the morning.
We desperately need for those who are staying behind to do THREE
things:
1. Visit your Congressperson's local office TOMORROW - THURSDAY,
November 5th. There are rallies at the offices of Blue Dog Democrats
and Pro-Life Democrats all over the nation tomorrow at noon. Those
two small groups of Democrats are pivotal to stopping the Obama/Pelosi
healthcare bill HR 3962. (Contact info is below.)
2. Call the Blue
Dog and Pro-Life Democrats. If you can't get through on their
Washington DC lines, call their district offices. Be kind! I'm told
the White House and Pelosi's office are being so nasty to these
people. Show them YOU are different and YOU will support their efforts
to do what is right for freedom. (If you press *67 before calling,
it will block your Caller ID. This is free and you must dial it
every time before you call.)
3. Pray for our safety and effectiveness.
4. Share this information with your closest friends and family.
Earlier today I spoke with Congressman and doctor Paul Broun
from Georgia. He told me "this is the end of this battle"
and we must reach these Democrats. "They hold the future of
our health and the health of our children and grandchildren in their
hands." Please, please take the time to help us today. We need
you.

The
Baucus Healthcare bill passed through the Senate Finance committee
14-9 with all 13 Dems and Olympia Snow voting for the legislation.
Please call these Senators and let them know
how you feel about them pushing America one step closer to Socialized
Medicine!!
Message
From Resistnet: Today the Senate Finance
Committee passed the Baucus version of Obamacare. The bill was approved
to go to the Senate floor now for more debate and merging with other
prior versions of the Obamacare bills on the floor currently.
The actual text and bill will be introduced on the senate floor
within the next two weeks then the work begins at an attempt by
the Republicans to interject their idea of an acceptable bill while
fighting off the Democrats adding on the public option and whatever
else they can throw in. Read

Obama
and the Bureaucratization of Health Care The president's proposals would give unelected officials life-and-death
rationing powers.
By SARAH PALIN
Writing in the New York Times last month, President Barack Obama
asked that Americans "talk with one another, and not over one
another" as our health-care debate moves forward.
I couldn't agree more. Let's engage the other side's arguments,
and let's allow Americans to decide for themselves whether the Democrats'
health-care proposals should become governing law.
Some 45 years ago Ronald Reagan said that "no
one in this country should be denied medical care because of a lack
of funds." Each of us knows that we have an obligation to care
for the old, the young and the sick. We stand strongest when we
stand with the weakest among us.
We also know that our current health-care system
too often burdens individuals and businessesparticularly small
businesseswith crippling expenses. And we know that allowing
government health-care spending to continue at current rates will
only add to our ever-expanding deficit.
How can we ensure that those who need medical care
receive it while also reducing health-care costs? The answers offered
by Democrats in Washington all rest on one principle: that increased
government involvement can solve the problem. I fundamentally disagree.

Sure
you can keep your existing plan, but how long will your insurance
company or your employer continue to offer a Private Health Insurance
once there is a Public Option?
In this video Obama states that his intention is to ultimately eliminate
private health insurance.
The House Energy
and Commerce Committee Passes HR

Bart Stupak (MI) held their ground and voted NO!
Please
call these Reps and thank them for doing what's best for America!
All the
Republicans on the committee voted NO!
Obama, Pelosi
and Reid will be attempting to RAM HEALTH CONTROL DOWN OUR THROATS
when they return from break in the fall!!
This battle is
far from over! During the recess the American people need to Keep
Hammering Our Representatives. We must keep the pressure
on and continue Calling and Faxing all the members of the House
until this legislation is stopped in it's tracks!!
Contact all your friends, relatives,
co-workers and healthcare providers
and encorage them to Call and Fax their Reps. Keep hammering the
Blue Dogs and Don't let up on the other Representatives!!
Please utilize the resources on this website and others and educate

TURN THE SUBJECT TO HEALTHCARE!!!

House Republicans
warn that proposed Healthcare plan will create a "Web of Bureaucracy".
House Minority Leader John Boehner unveiled a dizzying flow chart
that he said would represent how health care coverage would look under
the plan being pushed by House Democrats. Read
the full Story
This
chart depicts the health care nightmare that House Democrats have
planned for families and small businesses. This isnt reform;
its a recipe for disaster that will lead to higher health care
costs, lower quality, rationed care, and bureaucrats making medical
decisions instead of doctors and patients. Families shouldnt
have to answer to shadowy Washington bureaucrats when theyre
seeking health care treatments for themselves and their loved ones.
If this isnt bad enough, this new maze of government bureaucracy
will be funded by a new small business tax that will cost more American
jobs. During a time of economic recession, the last thing Congress
should be doing is punishing small businesses that create a majority
of the jobs in this country. If Democrats are serious about job creation
and real health care reform, theyll scrap this plan and start
working with House Republicans on solutions the American people want.
Republicans have offered a plan to reduce costs and expand Americans
access to quality care without a small business tax. I want
to thank Rep. Brady and House Republicans on the Joint Economic Committee
for their work in exposing the truth about what the Democrats
plan means for families and small businesses. - Republican Leader
John Boehner (R-OH)
"One
of the traditional ways of imposing Statism or Socialism on a people
has been by way of medicine. Its very easy to disguise a medical program
as a humanitarian project." -
